Learn About Fascinating Animals at the TGR Exotics Wildlife Park in Spring

For a fun afternoon, take a walk on the wild side at the TGR Exotics Wildlife Park. It's where you'll get up close to fascinating animals from around the world. Here is some of what the park has to offer near our Spring apartments:

Red Kangaroo

Found across regions of Australia's mainland, red kangaroos are the largest marsupials. Males are usually reddish-brown, while females are bluish-gray. These kangaroos live in small groups called mobs. They are most active at twilight and throughout the night, spending much of this time grazing. During the day, they rest in the shade.

Spotted Hyena

Also called laughing hyenas, spotted hyenas live in Africa, south of the Sahara Desert. They use watering holes to cool off or to hide extra food. These hyenas can eat one-third of their body weight in one meal and can chase down prey while running at 37 miles per hour.

Serval

Servals are native to Africa, where they roam savannas and wetlands. These medium-sized cats are easily recognized by their long necks and legs and tawny coats covered with black spots. Servals have excellent hunting skills. They eat things like birds, rodents, and reptiles and often catch prey by leaping into the air and pouncing.

Sloth Encounter Deluxe

Spend 15 minutes getting to know Stella, Quincy, and Aurora. As you feed these two-toed sloths, the guide will share facts about these fascinating creatures and the animals surrounding them at the park. Don't forget your camera. Plenty of photo ops are available. The Sloth Encounter Deluxe experience can easily be booked online.

After exploring the park, enjoy a delicious meal at one of Spring's barbecue restaurants. You can feast on everything from pulled chicken sandwiches to fall-of-the-bone ribs.
