If you were bumming around in the ’90s, you know how great the R&B music was. But have you ever been curious about where your favorite artists are today? Save yourself a Google search and keep reading to see what three of your favorite ’90s R&B groups are up to today.
Boyz II Men
Arguably the biggest R&B group of the ’90s with timeless hits like "End of the Road," "I'll Make Love to You," and "Thank You," the group continues to tour and release music to this day. The original quartet tends to be a trio nowadays, with Michael McCary having left the group in the early 2000s. If you're feeling particularly nostalgic, Boyz II Men are performing down the road at Rodeo Austin in Austin, Texas, on March 23, and tickets are still available.
Jodeci
If you had a significant other in the ’90s, Jodeci was a big part of your life. Seriously, they had a song for every stage of a relationship. See someone you like but are too scared to ask them out? Put "Come and Talk to Me" on repeat. Have you got to go away for work for a few weeks and miss your partner? Play "Feenin'" while you're sitting lonely in that hotel room. Is the relationship feeling a little lackluster? Then you're playing "Lately" all day. You can see Jodeci alongside New Edition and Charlie Wilson as part of the "The Culture Tour" coming through Fort Worth on March 24 and Houston on March 25.
En Vogue
Easily the most successful female R&B group of the ’90s with smash hits like "My Lovin (You're Never Gonna Get it)" and "Free Your Mind," En Vogue is currently touring as the trio with original members Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron, Rhona Bennett. They’ve even released a new album called Electric Cafe in 2018. In addition, the current group will be touring this summer with four stops in Texas this May.
