Don’t let the pandemic stop you from enjoying yourself this holiday season. There are all kinds of safe activities you can participate in, including attending a classic holiday ballet – with a twist.
The Nutcracker v. 2020 is an original commission by Ballet San Antonio. This continuation of the Nutcracker story follows Clara and her husband, William, as they venture to the Land of the Sweets once again, off on another adventure.
This event features socially distanced seating to help make it a little safer to attend. Artistic Advisor Sofiane Sylve says, via the Ballet San Antonio website, “We have developed a unique approach to this year’s production which keeps alive the traditions of The Nutcracker and incorporates the safety protocols required. We are excited to offer this experience.”
This show runs from Nov. 27 through Dec. 13. The performances are scheduled every Friday at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sundays at 2 PM.
Enjoy this ballet at the H-E-B Performance Hall at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
Tickets are currently available. You can purchase them through the Ballet San Antonio, by phone (210-223-8624), or at the Tobin Center’s Box Office, located at 100 Auditorium Circle, San Antonio.
Why? Because what could lift the spirits more than a holiday ballet?
