Ring-tailed Lemur

Found in the dry forests of southwestern Madagascar, ring-tailed lemurs are gray to rosy brown with alternating black-and-white bands. These animals walk on the ground about 40 percent of the day. Most of their time is spent searching food, and they live in groups of between three and twenty-five members.

Reticulated Giraffe

Standing high above the other animals, the reticulated giraffes are the ranch's tallest residents. They have spotted coats that help them blend into their environment. In the wild, they live in the open woodlands and dry savannas of northeast Africa, where they spend most of their time eating. Adult males can consume up to 146 pounds a day.

Cheetah

Cheetahs are speedy animals with long, slender bodies and powerful hind legs. They're easily recognized by their yellowish fur with black spots and are most active during the day. With a declining population, the cheetah species is listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.

Squirrel Monkey

A small primate, squirrel monkeys spend their days moving about the tree canopy at a fast pace. They're very social and communicate using 25 to 30 different vocalizations. Squirrel monkeys live in groups of 12 to 15, and at times, they join forces with other primates for increased protection.
