THE BEST BREAKFAST SPOTS IN SAN ANTONIO

|

Are there mornings when you don't feel like flipping pancakes or scrambling eggs?

If so, head to a local restaurant where you are sure to enjoy a delicious meal.

Here are a few favorites:

Guenther House

The Guenther House was built between 1915 and 1918, and its Art Nouveau style is defined by the stained glass, symmetrical lines, and extensive plant motifs. More than 200,000 people visit every year, and the chefs prepare an all-American breakfast using the restaurant's own San Antonio River Brand Mill mixes. Meals include southern sweet cream waffles, pioneer pancakes, and breakfast tacos.

Magnolia Pancake Haus

When Robert and Shelia Flemings opened the Magnolia Pancake Haus in 2000, they achieved their dream of opening a restaurant that conveyed their passion for great food. It was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives eleven years later, and today, guests come from all over the country come to enjoy a delicious meal. The dining area features a casual atmosphere, and the menu includes jambalaya pancakes, corned beef hash, and apple cinnamon pancakes.

5 Points Local

At 5 Points Local, the farm-to-table menu is seasonally inspired. The meals are made from fresh, organic ingredients, and they're presented in familiar ways with a creative twist. Guests can enjoy yoga before they eat, and they rate the restaurant 4.5-stars on Yelp as they appreciate the friendly service, reasonable prices, and relaxing atmosphere. The limited menu includes 5 Points granola, rise and shine bowls, and a stack of fluffy pancakes topped with Texas pecans and grilled caramelized bananas.

Corner Bakery Cafe

The Corner Bakery Cafe is where guests see the stove's open flame and hear the chopping of more than forty types of fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables. It offers a casual atmosphere and attentive service, and it's a great place to meet friends for breakfast. The menu includes buttermilk pancakes, steel-cut oatmeal, and Anaheim scramblers.
