Discover Everything Richmond's George Memorial Library Offers

Whether you want to read the latest bestsellers, discover local history, or learn how to use a computer, you can do all these things and more at the George Memorial Library. It began welcoming patrons in 1986. Today, the library features the largest collection of materials in the Fort Bend County Libraries system. Here is some of what you can discover near our Richmond apartments:

Computers 

If your computer crashes, head to the library. It has several computers available for public use. They feature the internet, research databases, Microsoft Office 2010, and more. In addition, the staff also holds entry-level computer classes on a variable basis. Choices may include Computers 101 and Hands-On Internet. Be sure and check out the library's calendar for more information.

Hoopla 

With Hoopla, you can easily borrow everything from eBooks to movies. It features more content than any other digital library platform. Best of all, Hoopla syncs to all of your devices, so you can stream immediately or wait until later. For an eBook, don't miss The Woman in the Library. Called one of Book Riot's "best new mystery books of 2022," it's a page-turner from beginning to end. 

Pressbooks 

Pressbooks can help you achieve your dream of becoming a published author. It offers easy-to-use software that allows writers to produce professional quality eBooks and print-ready files. It's free to use for library patrons. All you need to get started is your manuscript and a BiblioBoard account. 

The library opens at 10:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday. After exploring all it has to offer, enjoy a meal at a local diner.
