Believe it or not, it’s August. (We know, we can barely believe it either.) But with a new month comes new events! If you’re looking for things to do in Odessa as summer starts to come to a close, check out our quick list below.
2021 Parks Legato Farmers Market (Aug. 14)
The farmers market returned this summer season and is now bigger than ever. Stop by The Parks Legado Farmers Market from 8 AM - 12 PM to browse the wares of West Texas farmers, bakers, and artisans. Shop local and support your community at the farmers market.
The Duel - A Duathlon (Aug. 14)
And that’s not the only upcoming event at Parks Legado Town Center! Midland Athletic Company is calling all athletes to discover their strength in a 13-mile off-road duathlon. The race starts at 7 AM. Interested parties can register now.
Movies Under the Stars - Ellen Noël Art Museum (Aug. 27)
Bid farewell to the summer – and your lawn chairs – with a movie date in a garden, underneath the stars. The Ellen Noël Art Museum will be hosting a free showing of the fantasy adventure comedy film The Princess Bride (1987). Directed and co-produced by Rob Reiner, this cult classic stars Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Wallace Shawn, André the Giant, and Christopher Guest. Snacks and drinks will be provided. The showing starts at 8:45 PM.
