Founded in 1962, the Midland-Odessa Symphony & Chorale (MOSC) has been enriching the lives of West Texans for nearly six decades through their brilliant music performances and education. The MOSC is backed by over 70 professional musicians and “holds the distinction of being one of the largest professional performing arts organizations in West Texas.”
President George W. Bush’s Childhood Home
Most everyone knows Midland is the former home of Presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush, and former First Lady Barbara Bush. But you may not know after 5 years of research and restoration, the home was turned into a museum in 2006, providing novel insights into 1950s Midland. While the museum is currently closed, it’s still worth driving by to get a look!

If you’re a fan of sci-fi and superheroes, you probably already know where we’re going with this. The Midland-Odessa area is an important part of the TV series Heroes. Indeed, the Burnt Toast Diner is located right here in Midland.
