According to the National Coffee Association's blog, coffee drinkers in the United States consume an average of 3 cups of coffee a day. They also say that 62 percent of Americans drink at least a cup a day. If you're in that group, Midland has plenty of coffee shops to cater to all of your needs. The best part is that these coffee shops offer way more than coffee, so go ahead and check them out!
HAND CAFE
The recently opened Hand Cafe is literally right beside your Anatole on Briarwood apartment home. Their drinks feature espresso and coffee from Big Bend Coffee Roasters in Marfa using beans that are certified organic, kosher, and fair trade. Now that's coffee you can feel good about drinking! Food options include bagels, crepes, soups, sandwiches, and pastries.
Feel free to bring your laptop; there are plenty of outlets and USB ports as well as free WiFi. The fenced in outdoor patio has play equipment for kids and comfortable seats so you can catch up with friends.
The hours are simple; weekdays they are open from 7 am until 7 pm and on weekends they're open between 10 am and 2 pm.
BREW STREET BAKERY
There are two locations of Brew Street Bakery in Midland; the closest to Anatole on Briarwood is at 4610 N. Garfield Street. The second location is downtown in the basement of Bank of America. From the moment you walk in, you'll want to stay a while. Choose from coffee, tea, craft beer and wine. Get there early so you don't miss out on the delicious breakfast items which often sell out. Bar snacks, charcuterie boards and small plates are available after 4 pm. Try a wagyu slider, grown up grilled cheese, or spicy lettuce wraps. You can't go wrong with any of your choices!
