Don’t be fooled by the name: the Midland International Air & Space Port (MAF) can get you to several fun locations – right here on Earth. You don’t have to head into space to have an adventure, after all. While MAF currently offers direct flights across Texas, including to Dallas/Fort Worth, Dallas Love Field, Houston Intercontinental, and Houston Hobby, you can also find direct service to a few other cities that deserve to be on your must-visit list.

Phoenix

Why not spend some time exploring Arizona’s beautiful capital city? Sure, you can take the three-hour drive to see Grand Canyon National Park, but there are other gems to this area that deserve a look. The Desert Botanical Garden features 50-plus acres of local desert plants, including the one Arizona is most famous for – the saguaro cactus. There’s the Phoenix Zoo, one of the largest nonprofit zoos in the country with 1,400 animals, including giraffes and Sumatran tigers. And the Heard Museum showcases the traditions, cultures, and histories of 22 local indigenous tribes through immersive exhibits and an art shop filled with items by native craftspeople.

Denver

Welcome to the Mile High City, nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Colorado’s capital city is filled with history that will take you right back into the Old West and beyond. Hit the shopping and restaurant scene in downtown Denver – and be sure to stop by the historic Union Station. Visit the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave to learn more about this historic figure from the days of the Wild West, and to see his grave, part of the Denver Mountain Parks System. Catch a show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. And if you love being in nature, head out to Rocky Mountain National Park, where you can learn about the indigenous population of the area, the local flora and fauna, and enjoy being in the crisp, Colorado fresh air.

Las Vegas

We know you know exactly what to do in Las Vegas: Hit The Strip and see if Lady Luck favors you. But you’ll also want to check out the local resort features, like The Mirage’s volcano, gondola rides at The Venetian, and the Bellagio fountains. Head over to The Shops at Caesars Palace, and take a spin in the High Roller.
