There’s nothing like a Texas beer to perk up your week. And here in Midland, you are within a quick drive of several amazing breweries that will quench your thirst for that perfect pint. Check out some of these local favorites.
Tall City Brewing Co.
Sporting Midland’s well-earned nickname and an urban skyline logo that reflects how it got that nickname, this brewery has an eye for good design and a dedication to bringing the best brews to the Midland community. Try their Five Hour Drive Honey Blonde Ale, their tribute to Midland’s prime location “in the middle of everywhere.” Their West Texican is a light Mexican/Vienna lager heavy on the malt. And you won’t want to miss their Haboob Hefeweizen, named for the intimidating sandstorms that are so familiar to West Texas, and which features a sweet banana undertone.
Eccentric Brewing Company
Over on Cotton Flat Road, you’ll find some pretty unique brews beloved by locals. This brewery typically has about 12 beers on tap in their small but popular taproom, always rotating blends in order to give everyone a good variety. Their El Jefe is a favorite, with its fresh, sharp flavor. And give their hefeweizen a try, which features a hint of clove to create an extra depth of flavor.
Frisky Brewery
A hop, skip, and jump away in Odessa, Frisky is all about love: the love of beer, the love of community, and the love of fun (hence, the name). They feature a full menu of amazing dishes and appetizers from salted German pretzels to Spicy Cuban Burgers. And of course, you’ll want to sample their main lineup of brews including Texas Country Porter, Frisky Pale Ale, and Sinister I.P.A.
