It’s that time of year again! Keller Public Library will be hosting a virtual storytime to ring in the holidays. Tune in on Dec. 23 at 10:30 AM. This year’s theme? Gingerbread! You can swing by the library to pick up a goodie bag while supplies last.
Why Gingerbread?
Gingerbread has long been associated with this time of year. Indeed, people have been making gingerbread houses to celebrate the holidays since the 16th century. Plus, who could forget the famous folktale “The Gingerbread Man”? Gingerbread has been around for a long time, and it’s the perfect theme to help us remember all the things we cherish this year.
How to Get Into the Spirit
No storytime is complete without your participation! Make your home the perfect place for your imagination to run free. Light some scented candles. Snuggle up with a cozy blanket or a festive sweater. While you’re at it, why not bake some of your own gingerbread cookies? If it’s been a while, try your hand at building your own gingerbread house – this candy-covered delight is certain to make you smile.
