October is a busy time of year, filled with fun things to do all around Keller. Here are a few ideas to add to your autumn calendar.
Keller Fall Fun Festival
Head over to Keller Town Hall on Saturday, October 9 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for a seasonal celebration. You can get some holiday or seasonal shopping done while supporting local small businesses. Enjoy the food vendors and seasonal treats. There are two costume contests (one for pets, one for kids), trick-or-treating, and gift bags. Just be sure to get there early so you won’t miss out on anything!
Keller’s Old Town Burger Crawl
Are you ready to discover the best burgers in Keller? Join the Burger Crawl on Thursday, October 7 from 6:00-9:00 PM. You’ll head over to Vine Street at 6:00 to register at The Roundhouse, sample drinks, and pick up a free drink ticket to be used at the establishment of your choice during the event. Afterwards, you’ll get to stop at five different restaurants: Roscoe’s, Keller Tavern, Chophouse, Station, and Old Town Ice House. Hint: It might be best to skip lunch that day, in order to work up a good appetite for this event!
Monster Kids Triathlon
This is the 16th anniversary of this fun family event. All kids ages 4-14 are welcome to join in the fun on Saturday October 16. The course includes biking, swimming, and running and every participant will receive a long-sleeved shirt and a medal. Be sure to sign up early, as tickets to this event tend to sell out quickly.
Fall Trash Bash
Also scheduled for October 16, this event is a great way to give back to the Keller community. Head over to Town Hall at 9:00 AM to pick up the supplies that will be provided to you, including: trash pickers, bags, gloves, and a safety vest. The first 100 people who sign up will receive a free t-shirt.
Haunted Camp Out
Head back to Town Hall by 3:00 PM on the 16th for a Halloween-themed community campout. All you have to do is bring a tent and some basic bedding supplies. Dinner and breakfast are provided. Enjoy a spooky movie, tent-to-tent trick-or-treating, and yes, s’mores!
