Twin Coves Park & Campground
Twin Coves has cabins, RV sites, and dry sites for every kind of camper. It’s about a 30 minute drive from Keller and is located on a 234-acre park with a lake. There are a boat ramp, pier, and fishing store, so you can spend the morning fishing or rent a kayak to get out on the lake. Don’t forget the s’mores – there is a large fire pit with ample seating to roast a few (or a dozen) marshmallows.
Murrell Park
Tent campers only are invited to visit Murrell Park. The park is a great stop for hiking and biking enthusiasts looking to explore the Northshore Trail or for fishers looking to get out on Grapevine Lake.
Creek Harbor Fish Camp
Located in Fort Worth, Creek Harbor Fish Camp is just under 40 minutes from Keller and sets you on Eagle Mountain Lake. There are waterfront camping sites for both RVs and tent campers, and cabin rentals are also available. If you’re looking to get on the water, visit the rental shop for a pedal boat, kayak, or canoe.
Hickory Creek
Hickory Creek is a branch off the larger Lewisville Lake, located northeast of Keller, where you’ll find the Hickory Creek Campground. Hickory Creek is open to tent campers only and the sites are all walk-in, so pack mindfully! Once you’re all set up, you’ll be able to enjoy the water or cook hotdogs on the campfire. There are also public golf courses nearby and horseback riding.
