Keller is a resourceful community where busy hands create and imagination thrives. There is no better way to get into the spirit of the neighborhood than by learning something new and making friends along the way. You don't have to go far to take advantage of these unique and colorful arts and craft classes where you can discover your inner artist and go home with your own original masterpiece.
Pickled Picasso
Pickled Picasso is a bright and happy art studio founded in 2015 and Keller is all the better for it. The family-owned and operated venue focuses on individual expression using acrylic paints in a relaxed environment. Talented instructors guide you through the artistic process allowing you to embellish as you wish and deviate if you must so the result is your own personalized one-of-a-kind treasure.
The studio encourages group gatherings and welcomes all ages and all skill levels. It's the perfect way to celebrate birthday parties or get together with friends or family for an energetic night on the town. Pickled Picasso will come to you too with a 10-guest minimum.
Wood & Vino
Wood and Vino is only a short ride away and you will be glad you took the time to find them. Owners Sally and Adam Bounlutay's passion for woodcrafting evolved into the dynamic studio they now run with enthusiasm. The well-lighted studio specializes in custom wood signs and even the least experienced crafter can create a professional looking sign you will be proud to hang on your door or wall.
Designs are pre-selected before the workshop begins so all materials and tools are ready when guests arrive. The instructors guide participants through the process of sanding, distressing, staining, and painting their chosen projects. You can bring your own refreshments for an enjoyable evening of creative fun and interactive socializing. It's a win/win for the community.
Lightshow Glassworks
Lightshow Glassworks & Design had its start when glass artist, Mary MoeGeorgia, decided her incredible talent in glass work should be shared with like-minded creatives. She opened the company in 2012 with a focus on designing custom windows, surprising garden installations, wall art, and outdoor visual still life pieces. She tailors her work to what her customer imagines and makes it real.
Mary attends workshops in her field always striving to improve on and learn new glass art techniques and how best to teach them to others. A six- week class in stained glass is available using the copper foil method for fashioning your own individualized picture in glass. Mary also teaches a "Mosaics for Texas Gardens", a three-week workshop where students create Texas tough mosaics meant to withstand all weather conditions. Other specialty and holiday classes are also offered.
