Legos: They’re not just for kids anymore. Especially when some Lego sets cost more than a name-brand smartphone. That’s right, kids, the bricks you used to play with as a child (or as an adult – no judgment here) have sets that retail in the hundreds. So, for all the Olympus Falcon Landing residents looking to embrace their inner child at a price no parent in their right mind would pay, here are three of the most expensive Lego playsets in the world.
The Titanic
Not even an iceberg can sink this massive Lego playset. At over 50 inches and retailing at around $630, the Titanic Lego playset is the longest set ever created. In addition to the ship’s expansive size, detailed re-creations of the ship’s real-life attractions like the bridge, promenade deck, and swimming pool are on full display.
The Roman Colosseum
One of the most famous structures in the world gets the Lego treatment with our next entry. Retailing at about $530 depending on where you look, the 2020 Lego Colosseum is the largest Lego structure ever created by piece count at 9,036. A fantastic re-creation, this is a great buy if you’re into a long build with the final product making an excellent addition to your dining room decor.
The Ultimate Millennium Falcon
When it comes to Lego sets based on vehicles from the Star Wars franchise, the Ultimate Millennium Falcon playset, released in 2020, is another of the largest Star Wars playsets ever made at 7,541 pieces. Most retailers price the set at around $800, making it the most expensive Lego set currently on the market. Not bad for a ship from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
