Called one of the most unique neighborhoods in Dallas, the Bishop Arts District features good eats, one-of-a-kind finds, and plenty of fun. It's home to more than 60 restaurants, boutiques, theaters, and art galleries. Here is some of what you can discover a short drive from our Irving apartments:
All Good Things
Kristen Miller grew up in Oklahoma, where she discovered a passion for paper and fine things while in college. Today, she calls Dallas home, where she owns All Good Things. Kristen provides a carefully curated selection and offers quality products at reasonable prices. Choices include gift cards, stoneware dishes, and scented candles.
The Wild Detectives
For beer and books, head to The Wild Detectives. It opened after two friends decided to share their passion for booze and reading. The shop has been called "best bookstore" by D Magazine, and the owners boast they have probably sold as many beers as books. The selection features a range of genres. As you explore the aisles, you are sure to find your favorite authors while discovering new ones. In addition, the shop also offers fun events. You can play chess, join book clubs, enjoy book presentations, and more.
Hunky's
After a day of exploring, stop by Hunky's for some old-fashioned hamburgers. The restaurant offers a fun diner setting with red tables, neon lights, and a checkered floor. For dinner, order the Texas cheeseburger. It features two patties topped with American cheese, mayo, lettuce, and hickory smoked bacon on Texas toast. Round out your meal with spicy fried pickle chips and a banana split for dessert.
For another way to have some fun beyond exploring the Bishop Arts District, head to Water Street. You will discover restaurants, museums, and more. Finally, if you’re interested in an apartment at Olympus Las Colinas, please contact us. We’d love to take you on a tour!
