THE BEST PARKS NEAR FRISCO SQUARE

|

It's really not too surprising to learn that Frisco has been named the best place to live in the USA, especially once one becomes privy to the endless job opportunities, high levels of safety (the 6th safest city in the nation), quickly expanding facilities, and of course - the green spaces.

Luckily for residents of Olympus Boulevard, some of the best parks in Frisco are literally within arm's reach of Frisco Square.

Grand Park

Just south of the Dallas North Tollway, residents can get to Grand Park in about five minutes by car. The estimated 350 to 600 acres are still under development, setting the framework to become the largest regional park in the city. Although the official facilities are not yet installed, the park still offers a vast park setting suitable for hiking, exploring, and picnicking among the meadows, big trees, and creeks. Residents can expect to see official installations beginning in the year 2020.

Ruff Range Dog Park

Located inside the BF Phillips Community Park, the Ruff Range Dog Park is located on the southeast side adjacent to the 18-hole disc golf course. This huge green space in Frisco features three dog park sectors: two for big dogs and one for small dogs. All have nearby parking, dog-friendly water fountains, grassy and shady areas, plus designated spaces for both on-leash and off-leash activities.

The Trails of Frisco Golf Club

About three miles northwest of Frisco Square, the Trails of Frisco Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course tucked into an affluent residential neighborhood. The vast grassy terrain includes numerous water and sand features, plus a well-kept concrete track for golf carts. The course is known to be challenging but is not exclusive to club members. All visitors are welcome to enjoy tee time, 9 or 18 holes, as well as a leisurely cruise through the terrain.
