SICK OF BEING STUCK INDOORS? HEAD TO THESE 4 SCENIC SPOTS NEAR FRISCO

At this point, we’re all itching to get outside more and enjoy fresh air, a healthy dose of nature, and the mild temperatures that Frisco, Texas, has to offer this time of year. Between hiking and biking trails, and the numerous parks, there is no shortage of ways to explore the great outdoors near Olympus Boulevard. Ditch the indoor hangs and get outside at these four scenic spots near Frisco, Texas.

Central Park

Considered one of the most beautiful open space areas in Frisco, Central Park is located in the heart of the city, less than five miles from Olympus Boulevard. Venture out on a leisurely stroll through the park and take in all of the beauty it has to offer. There’s plenty of photo-worthy spots along the way, so bring your camera!

Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt Trail

One of Frisco’s finest trails, the Cottonwood Creek Greenbelt Trail makes the list for good reason. This beautiful greenbelt trail offers lake views and is ideal for all skill levels. There are platforms for fishing and viewing wildlife. The park’s ecosystem features off-channel ponds, Blackland Prairie, and wetlands. Plus, dogs are welcome!

Frisco Commons Park

This historic park is a must-see, with its natural beauty and unique amenities throughout. The park showcases a large pavilion and two smaller pavilions, a pond, a large wooden playground that your children will go nuts over, the Veterans Memorial Plaza, and a paved concrete trail throughout the park. In addition, meander the interpretive trails and see where they take you on your pleasant outdoor stroll.

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve

In the middle of bustling city life, you’ll find Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, which feels like anything but the city. The preserve is an excellent way to get a quick dose of the outdoors, with several trail offerings, a scenic field of wildflowers, a playground, and several spots to just take in the views. The single-track 2.7 mile mountain bike loop is tame enough for beginners, but fast enough for seasoned riders. Whether you arrive on two feet or two wheels, Arbor Hills Nature Preserve has it all.

When the parks are abundant, the outdoors never gets old.
