If you would like to take your workout outside of the gym, try horseback riding. It offers a fun way to improve your posture, coordination, and core strength. When you are ready to ride, the stables near our Frisco apartments include:
Family-owned and operated, Windmill Stables began offering horseback riding fun in 1982. Co-owner Tyler Hufstetler grew up raising quarter horses and other livestock. Today, he enjoys sharing his passion for animals alongside his wife, Erin. Windmill offers English-style riding lessons for all abilities. The group and private sessions include learning about riding, groundwork, and horse care. Windmill also hosts annual school shows and participates in local hunter jumper shows to help students enhance their skills.
Prospering Farm was established in 1993 by the brother and sister duo of Rusty Sexton and Susan Horn. The state-of-the-art facility includes three barns, tack rooms, three outdoor rings, and an indoor arena. The year-round programs welcome students of all abilities. Instructors host group and private lessons Tuesday through Sunday, and students can ride the school horses that are gentle and friendly.
Raised in the horse show industry, co-owner Ashley Walker has been a trainer and instructor for years. She holds world and national championship titles and is a proud member of the North Texas Saddlebred Association. Beginning students at Mill-Again Stables learn the fundamentals of riding. Be sure and arrive early for your first lesson, and wear long pants and tennis shoes or boots with a heel.
