3 MUST-VISIT FOOD TRUCK PARKS NEAR FRISCO

|

Texas has some of the best food trucks in the nation – and when they gather together, you’ve got yourself an epic culinary experience, not to mention a whole lot of fun. Gather up your friends and head out to one of these food truck parks in the Frisco area.

Truck Yard at The Colony

This food park, whose size echoes the sentiment that “everything is bigger in Texas,” calls itself a “come-as-you-are beer garden and adult playground.” Notice the emphasis on the great beer. That’s not an accident, thanks to their huge selection of craft beers and cocktails, including the Mother Trucker (a Texan spin on a Long Island) and the Twisted Marg (a Texan margarita). Pick up a cheesesteak or a plate of nachos and sample a few drinks. And if you still have room for a full meal, check out the trucks in the current rotation – there’s always something new that will satisfy every craving. From Cajun-Asian fusion to classic Tex-Mex, they’ve got it all.

Silo Park

Over in Prosper, you’ll find this favorite hangout. This location keeps six trucks in their daily rotation, and they offer spacious, open seating, bathrooms, a kid’s play area, and even a temperature-controlled, full-service bar. At the bar, you’ll find an extensive collection of beers, wine, cocktails, and other beverages. And if you’re looking for a specific kind of meal or your favorite food truck, follow their calendar, which outlines the food truck lineup. Spring will see Newman Style BBQ in the rotation as well as other local favorites to be announced.

The Frisco Rail Yard

You’ve probably heard of this one – everyone in Frisco knows about the Rail Yard. It’s the best place in town to sit back, relax, and enjoy good food, good music, and good company. There are outdoor games, live music, happy hour, and even special events, like the Crawfish Boil on Saturday, March 19. Their Caboose truck is a staple at this location, serving up nachos, Frito pies, chips and salsa, and every kind of ice cream you can imagine. Meanwhile, you can find all kinds of delicious meals from the visiting food trucks, including cuisine from not only all around the country, but all around the world.
