Arlington Yoga Center is offering a fun opportunity this month – greeting the November full moon with a vinyasa practice. Known for its amazing outdoor yoga events, AYC allows you to get in touch with nature and your body during this amazing class.
What
Arlington Yoga Center offers all kinds of unique yoga experiences – yoga on hikes, yoga at sunset, and, of course, yoga to celebrate the changing moon cycles. This class offers a vinyasa practice during the November full moon, also known as the Beaver or Frost Moon.
When
This class takes place on Monday, Nov. 30, from 5 to 6 PM.
Where
You’ll be rolling out your mat at Bowman Springs Park, 7003 West Poly Webb Road, Arlington. Here, you’ll have not only a stunning view of the sunset, but of Lake Arlington. You can park in the lot and you’ll see the meeting area in the adjacent field.
How
You will need to register for this event, due to COVID-19 restrictions. You can do that through Eventbrite. The suggested donation is $15, but pay what you can – no one will be turned away.
Bring all your usual supplies – a yoga mat, towel, sunglasses, light sweater or hoodie, sunscreen, bug spray, and, of course, a mask. Masks are required until you get on your mat. Everyone will be separated by 6 feet, so it’s up to you if you want to wear your mask during practice or not.
Why
Yoga is foundational to many people’s fitness routine. But in a pandemic, right before the holidays, it’s even more important to take time for yourself to stay healthy and connect with your body. Yoga is a great way to combat stress. It’s also good for your mental health to be around other people (something that’s hard to accomplish in this time of isolation) and to be outside in the fresh air, surrounded by beautiful views of nature.
In other words: Why not?
