GIVE YOUR HOUSEPLANTS AN UPGRADE WITH THESE CHIC ACCESSORIES

|

We all love our houseplants, but let’s face it – the way we accessorize them can be, well… boring. Thankfully, there are a variety of products hitting the market that make houseplant stewardship way more stylish. Here are some products to check out.

Box Planter with Cement Pots

Chic, minimalist, and charming, this set of cement pots that sits perfectly in a little wooden box engraved with the words “This is ‘la vie en rose’” makes for a perfect display of herbs or succulents. Its shape happens to also be a major plus in the “functionality” category because it will fit perfectly onto a windowsill to make sure your plants get as much sunlight as possible.

Glass Plant Mister

This gorgeous glass plant mister from Pottery Barn is so elegant with a touch of vintage charm that it’ll likely make you feel like you’re in a 19th Century conservatory. And though it’s stunning to look at, what’s most important is that it’s a great tool to help you keep your plants well-hydrated, which can be a challenge for houseplants. Keep in mind that indoor spaces tend to be much less humid, thanks to our heating and cooling systems, which means that you’ll have to give your plants a helping hand with careful watering and regular misting.

Brass Soil Probe

If you’ve ever lost a houseplant to over- or underwatering, then you need this helpful tool. A soil probe allows you to get a sample of the soil at the roots, which will help you determine whether or not your plant needs more water. It also aerates the soil - essential for keeping your plant healthy. And the brass is naturally antimicrobial, which means you won’t have to worry about the transmission of pests or pathogens.

Self-Watering Pots

Speaking of watering, there are plenty of self-watering pots on the market these days, a great way to keep your to-do list a lot shorter. (Plants watered: check!) This one, based on a Swedish “wet pot” design is totally self-sufficient. All you have to do is add water to the outer glass pot and the inner terra cotta pot will absorb only what it needs to keep your plant healthy.
