Visit and Support Animals at the Fort Worth Zoo
When you're looking for an amazing animal experience near our apartments in Fort Worth, you have plenty of options. Get a closer look at their beauty when you spend your day at the Fort Worth Zoo. Here are a few things to check out for your next visit to the zoo.
Adopt an Animal
To really feel connected and help provide their excellent care and food, you can adopt an animal. While that doesn't mean you can take a baby elephant home with you, this is a super cool way to support wildlife. When you adopt, you are donating towards the care for an animal at the zoo for one year. You can select from general adoption, adopting a baby animal, and more. What's cool is that these are group adoptions, so the donation amounts are reasonable. You can even collect your own group and pitch in a larger donation. You can complete your adoption online or over the phone.
Animal Habitats
There are all kinds of wonderful animals and habitats to behold at the zoo. You can check out the African Savanna with ostriches, giraffes, and others. Head over to Elephant Springs to see the herd of Asian elephants. The floating village is a breathtaking opportunity to get a view of the elephants swimming below in a 500,000-gallon pool.
Special Exhibits
After that, take a look at the newest additions to the zoo like flamingo hatchlings or Sunny, the Red Wolf. Special attractions like Stingray Cove cost just $4 and are cool interactive exhibits. You'll see stingrays and sharks swimming in the waters and can stop by throughout the day once you pay the special admission.
