ENJOY ART IN THE PARK AT THE 2021 VANDERGRIFF ART FESTIVAL IN ARLINGTON, TX

|

If you’re looking for some new artwork, decor, or gorgeous textiles, or you’re on the hunt for a wonderful Mother’s Day gift, head to the Vandergriff Art Festival in Arlington from April 30 to May 2, 2021. Formerly the popular Art on the Greene festival, this free public event now has a new name and a new home at Vandergriff Park.

What’s New in 2021?

Originally launched in May, 2012, at Richard Greene Linear Park, Art on the Greene grew to become one of the most popular fine art events in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, and was voted best outdoor festival in Arlington for six years. After a hiatus in 2020 due to COVID-19, the ongoing development in the Entertainment District of Arlington means the event can no longer be hosted at its original venue. The change of location to the 103 acre Vandergriff Park (2800 S. Center St., Arlington) in 2021 brings with it a matching name change to the Vandergriff Art Festival.

What Can I See & Do at the Festival?

Like its predecessor, the revamped festival will include more than 100 art vendors, displaying and selling works in a wide range of mediums including ceramic, drawing, glass, fiber, leather, metal, mixed media, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Attendees will also be able to enjoy live music, a variety of food vendors, and a beer and wine tent.

Vandergriff Art Festival Dates, Times & Details

This outdoor festival spans three days: 3 PM to 8 PM on Friday, April 30, 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday, May 1, and 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday, May 2. Admission and parking are free, and lawn chairs and blankets are allowed. Leashed dogs are also welcome at the event. However outside food, coolers, tents, and backpacks are not permitted.

Whether you’re an art aficionado, a collector, or just looking for a fun way to spend a few hours outdoors, there’s plenty to enjoy at the Vandergriff Art Festival. For more great local events and entertainment, check out the Olympus 7th Street Station blog.
