4 STAYCATION-WORTHY DFW HOTELS

|

Need a vacation but don’t have the money (or time) to dedicate to a long trip with a faraway destination in mind? Why not enjoy a good staycation right here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area? But don’t stay at home – indulge in a stay at a local hotel where you’ll get a nice change of scenery, some rest and relaxation, and maybe even an evening of room service, if you so desire.

Here are some of our favorite picks for a great hotel experience in the DFW region.

The Statler

This hotel is famous for its celebrity appearances, including The Jackson 5, Lucille Ball, and Cher. Built in 1956, after being bought by Hilton Hotels, it is a member of the Historic Hotels of America. It was a trend-setter, being the first hotel to feature elevator music, and 21-inch Westinghouse televisions in every room. Though its location offers the perfect opportunity for exploring Dallas, you could also choose to never leave the hotel and simply enjoy its two restaurants, coffee shop, and rooftop bar.

The Ashton

Right in the heart of downtown Fort Worth is this historic hotel, a perfect place for a staycation. Known for its roots in the past and modern-day amenities, here you’ll find attention to detail along with little luxuries everywhere. Head out to enjoy some shopping in the downtown area, and be sure to enjoy The Ashton’s famous Saturday afternoon tea service.

The Joule

If you’re in need of serious indulgence, this is the hotel for you. The Joule goes back to the 1920s with its neo-Gothic architecture, all in the heart of Dallas’ business district. The rooms feature luxurious linens, mini bars, and TASCHEN art books. They also have an 11,500-square-foot luxury spa that features treatments like massages that use CBD oils, facials, and full rituals that include treatments like gua sha and cupping.

OMNI Fort Worth Hotel

Regularly recognized for its hospitality and luxurious accommodations, this establishment is always ranked at the top of the Fort Worth hotel scene. Here, you’ll be within walking distance of the best restaurants and cultural centers in the city. You can dine in their two restaurants, or enjoy their wine or sports bar. And you’ll definitely want to check out their spa, which offers facials and massages.
