GET READY FOR RODEO: THE MESQUITE CHAMPIONSHIP RODEO 2021 SEASON KICKS OFF JUNE 5

|

Experience Texas in all its spurs-and-cowboy-boots glory at the Mesquite Championship Rodeo 2021 season that kicks off on June 5. Come on out to watch the bulls do battle with the riders, and the rodeo clowns risk it all to protect the competitors and entertain the crowd.

An Action-Packed Evening

Even if you’re not a lifelong pro rodeo fan, just about everyone’s watched a little rodeo on TV at some point, but seeing the action live takes it to a whole new level. If you’ve never been to the Mesquite Arena, the atmosphere will blow you away. With thrilling events including saddle bronc riding, bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, and more, there’s plenty of action. You can also enjoy some delicious barbecue or sign your youngster up for Mutton Bustin’ (where they see who can ride an uncooperative sheep for the longest). There’s often live music as well.

Planning Your Visit

Mesquite bills itself as the “Rodeo Capital of Texas,” and while the Mesquite Arena is just 25 minutes’ drive east of central Dallas, you feel like you’re a world away. With a capacity of 5,500, there’s really not a bad seat in the house, and the indoor arena is air conditioned so you’ll be comfortable regardless of the weather. You can opt for reserved stadium seating, ringside VIP seats, or book a luxury suite, with ticket prices starting at $10 for kids and $22 for adults. Parking onsite costs $10 per vehicle.

The 2021 Season

The Mesquite Championship Rodeo 2021 season runs every Saturday night from June 5 through August 28. Gates open at 5 PM and the rodeo action starts at 7:30 PM Various promotions are held throughout the season, so check the website if you want to catch dollar dog night, or get free or discounted tickets on military appreciation night, special swag on fan appreciation night, and much more.
