5 GREAT SPOTS TO GRAB BREAKFAST ON THE GO IN CARROLLTON

|

Mornings can be tough, trying to fit in all those early tasks. And somehow, you have to find a moment for a quick bite, too. Let us help you by sharing some of our favorite grab-and-go breakfasts from around town.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop

Don’t be fooled by the name “taco shop” – this little eatery has a fantastic, hearty breakfast menu. Try one of their many varieties of breakfast burritos (the Shrimp, Egg & Cheese is a favorite), or one of their breakfast tacos. Try the Bacon, Potato, Egg & Cheese Taco for an extra filling meal. They also serve Huevos Rancheros, Migas, and Chilaquiles.

Saint Taco

While we’re on the Mexican food kick, we have to mention Saint Taco, another great south-of-the-border restaurant that many people don’t know serves breakfast. Their menu features a similar selection of breakfast tacos and burritos, just like Fuzzy’s, with the addition of street tacos, from Pollo to Carnitas. And they also sell them by the dozen and half-dozen, which means you can pick up a box for all your office mates on your way to work and earn major brownie points.

Sunny Street Café

If you’re looking for a traditional breakfast selection, this is the place for you. This café offers all the usual breakfast dishes from eggs and bacon to buttermilk pancakes. You’ll definitely want to try their Big Breakfast Sandwich, an egg and bacon sandwich served on toasted brioche, and the Stuffed Biscuits and Gravy in which the biscuit is stuffed with sausage, peppers, onions, and cheese.

Café Brazil

While you’ll find some traditional dishes here, it’s their specialties that tend to keep people coming back. There’s the Banana Bread French Toast, which is made with actual banana bread dipped in batter and then grilled. Or how about the Pancrepes, which are crepes that are dipped into cinnamon egg batter and grilled, then served with raspberry sauce and crème anglaise.

Einstein Bros. Bagels

If you’re a fan of the bagel breakfast, you’ll love Einstein Bros. Their egg sandwiches served on bagels are so crisp, delicious, and filling. However, nothing tops their Bagelrito – a breakfast burrito filled with all the fixings and wrapped in a flat, toasted bagel.
