Our local coffee shops and cafes reflect Buda’s commitment to easy, slow living away from the bustle of city life. Here are some of our favorites.
Summer Moon Coffee
This cozy establishment is one of the most unique coffee houses in the state. Its founders, Texas Hill Country natives, wanted to create an experience that people would come for miles to enjoy. Their coffee is wood-fire roasted, using Texas oak and brick roasters, creating a smooth blend that is unique to this region. Their unique shop is designed to mimic the experience of sitting beneath the moon on a warm, summer night, creating the perfect setting to relax, breathe deep, and savor that delicious cinnamon latte.
Nate’s Coffee & Cocktails
A restaurant that only serves coffee, cocktails, and other fun drinks? Yes, please! This Main Street eatery (or should we say drinkery?) offers a beverage for every taste. There’s a full list of cocktails, including hot Irish coffee and Nate’s signature Old Fashioned, as well as wine, draft beer, and straight liquor. All in a warm, cozy place that makes it easy to kick back and clink glasses with a friend or two.
Sweet Cakes 4 U
This Buda bakery features a huge selection of baked goods, as well as a variety of coffee drinks. When it comes to cakes, we recommend their scrumptious tres leches, carrot, and German chocolate options – but you’ll find all your favorites here. They also bake up amazing cupcakes, brownies, pies, and so much more.
Buda Soda Fountain
This nostalgic eatery is the perfect place to go when you want to reminisce about the good old days. It features antique cabinetry and marble countertops, but the real star attraction is the amazing menu. They offer a little bit of everything, including coffee and ice cream sodas, fully decked out hot dogs, sandwiches, a soup of the day, and an extensive dessert menu.
