Gearhead Open Car Show

When: Oct. 16, 9 AM - 1 PM
Where: Cabela’s, 15570 S I-35 Frontage Road, Buda
The Deets: Are you a fan of classic cars? With its killer collection of tricked-out rides, the 12th annual Buda Gearheads Open Car Show is worth the trip even if you know nothing about cars.

Run for the Hills 5K/10K

When: Oct. 23, 8 AM
Where: Hays Hills Baptist Church, 1401 N FM 1626, Buda
The Deets: Log your daily miles while supporting a worthwhile cause at the Run for the Hills 5K/10K. This annual race raises funds for Rescue-Rebuild-Rejoice, a transitional housing ministry “which seeks to help single moms get back on their feet through housing, mentoring, and assisting with other needs.”

Patio/Yard Halloween Decorating Contest

When: Oct. 1-29
Where: Carrington Oaks
