It’s time to head back to the movie theaters, grab a bucket of popcorn, and settle in for one of the must-see movies of the summer. There are some incredible films coming out this July – and with that in mind, here are our suggestions for the ones you’ll definitely want to catch.
Black Widow
Everyone loves Marvel’s Avengers movies, and Black Widow will be no exception. The best part is, it lets a beloved female character take center stage – and it’s about time. This film explores Natasha Romanoff’s confrontation with her past and her reunion with the loved ones she left behind when she joined the Avengers. Can she heal the wounds of the past and beat the bad guys? We’re guessing the answer to that is a big YES!
The Boss Baby: Family Business
Boss Baby is all grown up, and he and his brother, Tim, have grown apart over the years. Tim’s enterprising daughter, however, has an idea that will bring them closer once again – a little magic that takes them back to their childhood. This film welcomes back Alec Baldwin in the titular role, with the hilarious Amy Sedaris as the “next generation Boss Baby.” And if you don’t feel like hitting the theaters for this one, you can pick it up on Peacock.
The Tomorrow War
Kick off Independence Day weekend with some time-traveling, gun-slinging fun in Chris Pratt’s latest hero flick. Pratt plays a history teacher who is recruited to fight a war that takes place – you guessed it – in the future. Can they save mankind? You can find out by tuning in to Amazon on July 2.
Space Jam: A New Legacy
The latest Space Jam film brings back the magic of its 1996 predecessor. Starring LeBron James and Don Cheadle, as well as the Looney Tunes cast, it’s sure to deliver lots of laughs and lots of fun. You can catch it in theaters or on HBO Max starting July 16.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania
Husband to Dracula’s daughter, Johnny is dismayed by his father-in-law’s inability to truly accept him into the family. He seeks out help from Van Helsing, who uses a Monsterfication Ray to help Johnny get what he wants – while causing all kinds of problems for the rest of the gang. Check it out on July 23.
