Disc golf is highly compatible with physical distancing. And there are a variety of courses to choose from nearby. Flying Armadillo Disc Golf Course in San Marcos and the course at Steeplechase Park in Kyle are a couple of great options.

There’s a reason many golf courses have remained open throughout the coronavirus outbreak – it’s not hard to physically distance while playing golf. Bring your own clubs, rent your own cart, and stay 6 feet away from your partner in the tee box and you’re all set. We’re lucky to live in an area with so many world-class courses, including Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle and Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos.

Kickball

Looking for an organized sports league that’ll have you feeling nostalgic for the old schoolyard? Nearby Kyle has a killer adult kickball league that you and your crew can sign up for. It’s technically a winter league, but sign-ups start Sept. 21, so you’ll want it on your radar now. Nothing beats a little old-fashioned kickball!

Sand Volleyball

Buda’s brand-new Sunfield Station has an outdoor attraction that’s good for some socially distanced fun – sand volleyball courts. Check out their site for league and tournament availability and round up a team. They have 4v4 and 6v6 options. Oh, and there’s even an outdoor bar.
