4 FUN SOCIALLY DISTANCED OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES TO DO IN BUDA

|

Whether you’ve been cooped up alone for too long or just need to expand your list of outdoor activities to enjoy with friends, Buda has options. Known as the “Outdoor Capital of Texas,” our fair city offers a number of fun ways to spend some time with friends without getting too close. Check out these four ways to spend a day in “Buda-ful” Buda, Texas.

Fishing at Bradfield Village Park

Sometimes there’s nothing more relaxing – or exhilarating, depending on your luck – than casting your line into a well-stocked pond. The 31-acre Bradfield Village Park offers two fishing ponds, one of which is stocked with blue and channel catfish. The park also offers a playground, barbecue pit and picnic area, and plenty of places to sit.

Jackson Tyler Norris Memorial Skate Park

Built in dedication to a local teen killed trying to cross U.S. 183, this awesome skateboard park offers a gnar way to spend a summer day. Jackson Tyler Norris Memorial Skate Park features include: a bowl, six grinding rails, two half pipes, two ramps, grind bench, manual pad, stair rail, stairs, wedge transition, restrooms, and a memorial garden.

Explore the Historic Stagecoach Park

Spanning 51 acres of mesquite and oak tree-lined parkland with a pond, pavilion, playground, and more, this historic nature park offers an abundance of wildlife for you to commune with. This picturesque local spot is the ideal place to enjoy an afternoon stroll or spread out a blanket for a relaxing picnic.

Catch a Flick at Doc’s Drive-In Theatre

After your last adventure of the day, climb into your car and catch a movie without having to get out! Unless, of course, you want to grab some good food to eat and a refreshing beer or wine from the concession stand at Doc’s Drive-In Theatre. There are even onsite cabins for rent, perfect for visitors who don’t want to stray too far from the big-screen action.

Hopefully this little guide offers an option that’s up your alley. For more tips on living well in Buda, TX, visit the Carrington Oaks blog.
