Houston Museum of Decorative Arts
After Anna Houston moved to Chattanooga, she started an antique business. She made purchases from local farmers and became known as a shrewd bargainer. In the 1930s, she built a barn to house her incredible finds. Anna passed away in 1951, and today, you can see her impressive collection at the Houston Museum of Decorative Arts. Items include Burmese glass, music boxes, and rare Tennessee furniture pieces like corner cupboards and sugar chests.
River Gallery
Offering a trip back in time, the River Gallery is found inside an early 1900s home. It has been a part of the Chattanooga community since 1992, and showcases the work of local, regional, and national artists. Additionally, it's also the home of the River Gallery Sculpture Garden. Nestled on two scenic acres, it overlooks the Tennessee River and features unique works you don't want to miss.
Tony's Pasta Shop & Trattoria
After a day of exploring, step inside Tony's Pasta Shop & Trattoria. You can build your own pasta dish or enjoy a classic offering like chicken Parmesan or meat lasagna. No matter your entree, be sure and sample the restaurant's famous meatballs. A customer favorite, they're made with a Sicilian recipe passed down from the owner's grandmother. Tony's Pasta Shop & Trattoria extends its hours to 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
