If you enjoy making pizza or a hearty lasagna, several local shops offer the cheese you need to prepare these and other tasty dishes. Those near our Ooltewah apartments include:
Bleu Fox Cheese Shop
Called a "must visit" by locals, the Bleu Fox Cheese Shop is owned by a husband and wife duo. The couple enjoys sharing their passion for food and always offers something new to try. The cut-to-order cheese counter features a selection from around the world. The friendly team will provide advice and pairing suggestions and strives to make your shopping experience memorable. Along with the cheese, you can also shop for jam, honey, crackers, and more.
Chattcuterie
Chattcuterie boasts that it's the "funkiest little cheese shop around." While it may be small, it still offers a fabulous selection that will have you returning for more. The cheese and charcuterie rotate, and the team provides everything from the classics to choices that are different and interesting. The varied selection also includes beer, wine, and cider. If you're hungry, enjoy one of the shop's tasty sandwiches. They come with nuts, fresh fruit, and pickled items.
Sequatchie Cove Creamery
Nathan Arnold started making cheese in his kitchen. When he decided to turn his hobby into a career, Sequatchie Cove Creamery was born. This family-owned business creates its cheese using fresh raw cow's milk produced on the farm. The cheesemakers combine time-honored European traditions with a distinctly Southern flair and "let the expression of the land shine through in the flavors." Cheese offerings include Walden, Bellamy Blue, and Dancing Fern. The Sequatchie Cove Farm's trading post is open on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Stop by to check out the cheese selection, or place an order online, and it will arrive at your door.
From cheese shops to plant nurseries, The Village at Apison Pike is near a wide range of local businesses. If you would like to call our community home, please contact us. Our team will offer a tour where you can discover our apartments in Ooltewah firsthand.
