Some days nothing sounds better than a drink with friends after a long day. Sure, you could hang out at home – but why not check out some local watering holes and mingle? There's no better excuse than Happy Hour, and Ooltewah has plenty of options. We've listed a few of our favorites below.
El Primo
For good drinks and comforting Italian food, stop by the warm industrial space at El Primo. Sips include Italian, seasonal, and craft beer, cocktails, a variety of Italian and American wine, and after-dinner drinks. Food offerings include excellent cheeses, appetizers, pastas, and mains - with standouts being the pork scallopini and butternut squash risotto and sea scallops. Patrons love the outstanding desserts, Italian wine list, and friendly service. Happy Hour commences Monday through Friday 4pm-6pm with $4 draft beer and well cocktails.
Heaven and Ale
Maybe you're more of a beer drinker. If so, Heaven and Ale has got you covered. This casual taproom offers rotating craft beer on tap, TVs for the big game, and an outdoor patio. They only offer pretzels to eat though, so consider that before you go (there are restaurants within walking distance). Customers rave about the selection and beer flights, the engaging owner and staff, and the clean bathrooms (hey – it matters!) Stop by for a quick taste after work, or while the hours away.
Wine Down
For the best of international and domestic wines, spirits, beer, and hand-crafted cocktails, check out Wine Down. This inviting space offers a variety of brunch, lunch, and dinner options (and even a kids menu!) with delectable flourless chocolate cake and cookie butter tart desserts. Customers love this place for mimosa brunches, beer and truffle fries, and the tasting opportunities. Happy Hour runs from Monday through Saturday 3pm-6pm, offering $4 spirits, $5 wines, and cocktails of the day, and $11 whiskey and wine flights.
