THE 4 BEST PLACES TO CAMP IN & AROUND OOLTEWAH

|

The Meadow Campsite

Ever spent the night under the stars on a 500-acre horse farm? Now’s your chance at The Meadow Campsite, a private campsite hosted by Hidden Hills Farm & Saddle Club. Step out of the Ooltewah bustle and into the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere on this horse farm and farmstead, with a pastoral backdrop, stocked fire pit, and outhouse, all tucked into a private nook of the farm. Get ready for the best in primitive camping at The Meadow Campsite.

Harrison Bay State Park

Taking up approximately 1,200 acres and 40 miles of the Chickamauga Lake shoreline lies Harrison Bay State Park. Settled in an unbelievable wooded forest, the state park has a large RV park as well as tent camping available. Bring all your water toys with you — all types of boats and recreation vehicles are allowed at the park.

The Tiny House Campground

The tiny House Campground is ready for you, your own tiny house, RV, or camper. Simply pull up to the partially wooded 1.4-acre lot and connect to power, water, and sewer. You’ll feel off the grid in this sweet spot, which is situated in a rural neighborhood just minutes from Ooltewah. Upon your arrival, you’ll find a picnic table, hammock, fire pit, firewood, and chairs. Enjoy the pure bliss of spending time in nature.

Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA

Situated amid rolling hills between the Cumberland Plateau and the Appalachians, Chattanooga North/Cleveland KOA is an excellent camping choice for those looking to sample the best of Tennessee closeby. Not far away you’ll find several places to explore, including Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls, Rock City, Incline Railway, Tennessee Aquarium, and Point Park.

Whether you are visiting Ooltewah and are looking to sleep under the stars, or are local and simply want to take a staycation, there’s plenty of opportunity in our backyard. Don’t let this summer pass you by without camping at one of these four best places to camp in Ooltewah. For more great recreation and entertainment ideas, check out the Legends at White Oak blog.
