Nashville is home to a variety of restaurants, including those that are known for their delicious breakfast offerings:
Loveless Cafe
It was in 1951 when Lon and Annie Loveless started offering fried chicken and biscuits to those traveling along Highway 100. They served the meals out of their home, and it wasn't long before they converted it to a restaurant. Today, the Loveless Cafe is a Nashville landmark, and it welcomes more than 500,000 people every year. According to USA Today, it is one of the "Ten Great Places to Get a Southern-style Biscuit," and the cooks make as many as ten thousand every day. The restaurant has also gained recognition from CBS News and the Martha Stewart Show, and the menu includes garden omelets, cinnamon raisin French toast, and country fried steak and eggs.
Kitchen Notes
At Kitchen Notes, the chefs follow a farm-to-fork philosophy, and they prepare classic recipes with a contemporary twist. They partner with local farms, and the restaurant is home to the only biscuit bar in Nashville. The dining room offers a modern atmosphere that's complete with exposed brick, colorful works of art, and unique lighting, and it's where guests can enjoy a leisurely meal. The breakfast menu includes biscuits & gravy, house-smoked brisket hash, and cast iron waffles.
Pancake Pantry
The Pancake Pantry has been a local tradition since 1961. It's one of the city's most iconic restaurants, and the batters and syrups are made fresh each day from secret family recipes. The staff is friendly, and many have worked at the restaurant for years. On the menu, guests find pancakes such as sweet potato, Santa Fe, and old-fashioned buttermilk.
