Did you know that fajitas were often eaten around a campfire before making it to menus across the country?
Whether you like this sizzling dish with chicken, shrimp, or another filling, head to one of the following restaurants where you're sure to enjoy a delicious meal:
La Hacienda
It was in 1993 when La Hacienda began from humble beginnings. Established by Carlos and Lillian Yepez, many consider it to be the hub of the city's Hispanic community, and it offers an atmosphere that's both festive and relaxing. In the kitchen, the chefs prepare award-winning meals including shrimp, beef, and veggie fajitas, and the tres leches cake is the perfect end to any meal.
Las Palmas
Voted Nashville's best Mexican restaurant three years in a row, Las Palmas has welcomed hungry diners since 1990. It's found in the building that once housed the Silver Dollar Saloon, and opened in 1990 after an extensive renovation. The owners offered free tacos and beverages to draw customers, and within eight months, they had a loyal following. There are now ten locations throughout the city, and fajitas include chorizo, grilled steak, and shrimp.
Chuy's
Chuy's is known for its friendly service and unique vibe that features hubcaps hanging from the ceiling. Fresh produce arrives daily, and the chefs make everything from scratch including the hand-rolled tortillas and guacamole that's prepared in small batches throughout the day. The fajitas are marinated in a special blend of Shiner Bock beer, Serrano peppers, and secret spices, and they pair well with signature drinks such as Texas Martini and Grand Ma's Rockin' Rita.
