A quick drive from our Nashville apartments is a unique attraction, "dedicated to delivering innovative and dynamic learning experiences." We are talking about the Adventure Science Center, and it's a place where everyone can learn together. Here is some of what you can enjoy during your visit:
Beekeeping
Head up to the third floor to learn all about beekeeping. As the bees travel in and out of the colony, they perform a range of jobs, from feeding young bees to collecting pollen and nectar. Watch for the queen bee. She lays nearly 3,000 eggs daily and is easily identified by the painted dot on her back.
Tinker 2.0
An interactive exhibit, Tinker 2.0 will keep you busy. It's where you'll bring out your creative side during some STEAM-based fun. In the South Gallery, you can launch air-powered rockets, design aerodynamic cars, and more.
Sudekum Planetarium
State-of-the-art, the Sudekum Planetarium features a 63-foot dome theater and offers an exhilarating experience you won't soon forget. Don't miss Nightwatch. During the show, a planetarium educator will show you how to locate stars, planets, and other objects visible in the sky on the day of your visit. Other programs include Explore, Dark Universe, and Laser David Bowie.
Space Chase
The newest permanent gallery, Space Chase explores the wonders of the universe. Stop by the Solar Projection table. It's where you can stare into the sun and see sunspots and solar flares up close. Another gallery highlight includes a fun area called Cosmic Rays. As you play Beyond Our World, you'll compete with crews of other ships. Remember to check your score on the big board.
After exploring the Adventure Science Center, enjoy some authentic Thai fare at a nearby restaurant. Finally, to call Olympus Midtown home, please contact us. Our leasing team will arrange a personalized tour where you can see our apartments in Nashville firsthand.
