LOVE A SLICE OF PIE WITH YOUR COFFEE? CHECK OUT THESE 3 SPOTS IN SANTA FE

|

There’s nothing like a little something sweet with a cup of coffee – especially something sweet with a flaky, buttery crust. Pie is the perfect companion for your cup of Joe. Here are a few of Santa Fe’s best stops for pie.

Chocolate Maven Bakery & Café

Chocolate Maven is a local favorite, with its extensive menu that features some of the best pies in the city, as well as so much more. Try their Chocolate Cherry, Green Chile Apple, and Wild Blueberry pies. They also make a great apple and cherry pie in the colonial style, with the crust folded over the top. And if you ever get to the point of trying everything on their pie menu, you can sample the rest of their selections, which include cookies, brownies, cakes, and tea breads.

Plaza Café Downtown

Serving up meals since 1905, this establishment is Santa Fe’s oldest restaurant. It switched ownership in 1947, acquired by a Greek immigrant who brought the best of his homeland’s cuisine and married it to New Mexico’s unique dishes. And all this while giving customers a classic, all-American diner experience. Their pie collection perfectly captures the New Mexican flavorscape with selections like caramel apple, quatro leches, and biscochitos. You’ll also find diner classics like key lime and coconut cream.

Café Pasqual’s

This café is on a mission to serve the highest quality organic food to the community while paying attention to sustainable business practices and highlighting everything that makes New Mexican fare so special. Just a block from the plaza, this eatery will connect you with local culture with its delicious menu and century-old Mexican hand-painted tiled walls in the dining room. They feature at least one pie on their dessert menu, which rotates with the seasons. Currently, they are offering their Spiced Pumpkin Pie with Chantilly Cream – don’t miss it!
