Check Out Fun Adventures around Las Cruces

Las Cruces is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. With over 300 days of sunshine and some of the most stunning natural attractions in the state, it's easy to see why people are drawn to this area. Las Cruces is a four-season vacation destination from hiking to biking and birding; from live theater to live music, museums to art galleries, and local wineries to fine restaurants.

Here are some fun things to do near our Las Cruces apartments

Old Mesilla Village

When you're interested to learn more about the history of Las Cruces, visit Old Mesilla Village. This historic district is located just south of the city and has over 50 buildings from the 1800s. It's a great place to browse antique shops or grab a bite to eat at one of their many restaurants.

Visitors can explore art galleries and gift shops and enjoy local restaurants and bars. Old Mesilla hosts several events throughout the year, including a farmers market from March through October each Saturday at 9:00 a.m., wine walks on select Fridays at 6:00 p.m., art walks on select Saturdays at 5:00 p.m., and holiday festivals during Christmas and Easter.

Dripping Springs Natural Area

The Dripping Springs Natural Area is another popular spot for birders and hikers alike. This protected area is more than 1,000 acres and houses three endangered species: the Chihuahuan Desert Pincushion Cactus, Mexican Spotted Owl, and Rock Squirrel. The hiking trail here takes you through a canyon carved into the limestone by water millions of years ago. There are several places along this trail to stop for a picnic or take in the fantastic scenery.

NM Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum

The NM Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum is a 47-acre attraction in Las Cruces that includes an indoor museum displaying New Mexican artifacts and an outdoor portion of the museum with livestock, crops, and historic buildings. While it might sound like something kids would enjoy more than adults, it's a fascinating place for everyone to explore.

This is a charming town with a small-town feel. It is also centrally located between El Paso, Texas, and Tucson, Arizona. The Organ Mountains are the central feature of the scenery. The Rio Grande river flows through the town.

There is more to Las Cruces than just New Mexico State University. When you are new to the area, welcome! We hope you will enjoy your time here in our lovely city, and if you need a pleasant place to live, work and study, contact us today and check out our blog for the latest information about Las Cruces apartments.
