TASTES OF TIN CAN ALLEY: 4 OF THE FOOD HALL'S BEST RESTAURANTS

|

If you haven’t been to Tin Can Alley, you absolutely must head over and see why this unique venue is a favorite local hangout. It’s home to several shops, beautiful outdoor and indoor seating, concerts, and some of the best food and drinks in the Duke City.

Here are some of its most notable eateries.

S-A BBQ

This restaurant is all about showcasing the best techniques in barbecue cuisine, including the low and slow smoke. However, it blends these classic techniques with uniquely New Mexican flavors, a marriage made in barbecue heaven. Their menu is small, but that’s because they want to focus on their craft and do it well – and judging by the number of fans they have in the area, they seem to be achieving their goal. Try their Fiesta Bowl, which features smoked meat of your choice, cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce, red chile crema, and jalapenos. And don’t forget to grab a side order of green chile macaroni and cheese.

Amore Neapolitan Pizzeria

If you’re in the mood for pizza, you’ll definitely want to head to this Italian eatery – the only authentic Neapolitan pizzeria in Albuquerque. It was born from a love story, as you can tell by its name, when owners Gabriel and Kimberly Amador met on a beach in Naples, Italy. And the rest is history. Try the Sausage & Shroom pizza, which features mushrooms and S-A BBQ sausage, or the vegan (cheeseless) Marinara Starita.

Pho Kup

Fresh, flavorful, and delicious, this gourmet Vietnamese restaurant has become a local favorite. It’s a perfect place to stop for lunch with their egg rolls and noodle bowls. You’ll especially enjoy their banh mi sandwiches, which come with three meat options or tofu.

Guava Tree Café

This café has a hip yet cozy vibe and is another great place to stop for lunch with their extensive to-go South American menu. Patrons love the unique flavors and chance to enjoy another type of Latin cuisine. Their arepas are gluten-free and made fresh daily with ingredients like shredded beef, plantains, black beans, and avocado. They also have a variety of healthy sandwiches including the classic Cubano and the vegetarian Luciano.
