TODAY IS NATIONAL BEER LOVER'S DAY! HERE'S HOW TO CELEBRATE IN ABQ

|

Beer lovers, unite! September 7 is National Beer Lover’s Day, and we’re gearing up to taste-test our way through ABQ, one brewery (and one pint) at a time. From hoppy to frothy and everything in between, here’s how to celebrate at the best breweries in ABQ.

ReSource Brewing Co.

Home of great craft brew and the friendliest of staff, ReSource Brewing Co. is that neighborhood pub you instantly feel right at home at. A place where people gather for good conversation and good beer, with a simple and satisfying food menu designed to complement the awesome beer served on tap. The name ReSource is a very intentional name, with the owners focusing on sustainability, respecting natural resources, acting as a resource for the community, and being conscious of what they put in their beer. Cheers to that.

Kilt Check Brewing Company

A locally-owned and family-operated brewery, Kilt Check Brewing Company opened in 2016, with award-winning brewer Mike Campbell acting as the brains behind the operation. Just a bit off the beaten path on Hardware Drive, Kilt Check has a variety of brews on tap for you to enjoy at the mom-and-pop brewery, or even to bring home in a growler. Mug Club members ($25 per year) receive happy hour prices all the time, in addition to monthly specials, which should give you enough reason to join the club. For a solid small-batch craft beer and no-frills brewery, Kilt Check is it.

Marble Brewery NE Heights

Founded in the heart of Downtown ABQ in 2008, Marble Brewery is devoted to brewing premium craft beer to satisfy the thirsts and discriminating tastes of the local ABQ beer crowd. The brewery and taproom at the NE Heights location is considered their brewers’ playground, where they can do just that — play around and get creative with numerous specials. Grab a pint of their claim to fame, Double White, and experience the delicate, dry, pale, and hazy Belgian-inspired wheat ale.

With endless brewery options in Albuquerque, it can be hard to nail down favorites. Start with these three on National Beer Lover’s Day, and end your crawl right here at Olympus Encantada from 3 to 5 p.m. on September 7, for a beer on the go! For more fun topics, check out our blog.
