Three friends enjoying dark beer, clinking tall glasses at counter of Irish pub on St, Patrick’s Day

OUR PICKS FOR THE ULTIMATE PADDY'S DAY PUB CRAWL IN ABQ

|

What is St. Patrick’s Day without a good, old-fashioned pub crawl? You can arrange your own by visiting some of the best Irish pubs in the city, or join a pre-planned pub crawl event.

Here are some places to stop on your St. Paddy’s Day celebration.

O’Niell’s Pub

With two locations on Central and Juan Tabo, you’ll be able to fit this pub into your crawl schedule no matter which direction you’re coming from. O’Niell’s is famous in the city for its warm atmosphere and its eclectic menu, which features traditional American pub food, a few Mexican favorites, and of course, a handful of Irish-inspired treats. On a St. Patrick’s Day celebration, you can’t miss treating yourself to a St. Patty Melt (a burger on rye with grilled onions) or their Irish Cubano, an incredible fusion dish which features corned beef, pulled pork, and Southwestern-style aioli. And the beer, you ask? Don’t worry – they’ve got you covered with over 100 varieties to choose from.

Two Fools Tavern

Locals love this traditional pub on Central Avenue thanks to its design and décor that will make you feel like you’re actually in Ireland. Their tagline is “Where the craic is mighty,” and they mean it. They truly want to recreate an authentic Irish pub experience and according to their devoted patrons, they’re doing a grand job of it. Just like O’Niell’s, you’ll find a variety of food here from American pub cuisine to Irish dishes. Check out their Scotch Eggs, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Bangers and Mash, and the Paddy O’Malley Melt. Their drink menu features beers, wines, and whiskeys from all over the world, including all the best (of course) from Ireland.

Brew Lab 101

Take the short drive to Rio Rancho on March 17 to celebrate with Brew Lab 101. They’ve got an incredible selection of drinks and the live music includes a bagpiper!

Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl

This crawl is pre-planned, so you don’t have to do any of the work. Tickets include two drinks, waived cover fees, and eligibility to participate in the costume contest in which the winner gets a $1,000 prize. Participating bars include Bourbon & Boots, Side Effex, and Thirsty Eye Brewing Company. And don’t forget to stay for the after party!
