From October 1st through 9th, come witness the magic of seeing hundreds of hot air balloons decorate the desert sky at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Epic Views

The feeling is almost like being in space, only you can walk around and see hundreds of balloons floating across the Albuquerque sky. From dusk until dawn, the blue sky will be sprinkled with color that can be seen from miles away. Early morning is the mass ascension that takes roughly two hours as all the balloons fill with air and lift into the sky. After sunset, the balloons go static for The Balloon Glow where it feels as if you're among the stars.

The event will also include balloon races, uniquely shaped and decorated balloons, food vendors, car shows, and chainsaw exhibitions. The nights get even more magical with firework shows, so don't forget your blankets and chairs. It's fascinating to get to see a flying object that doesn't use technology the way planes and cars do. You can also get up close and personal with the balloons and their pilots, where you can observe how the balloons are constructed, packed, and unpacked.
