Northeast Albuquerque neighborhood that surrounds Olympus Alameda is buzzing with nightlife. From craft brews to wineries and craft cocktails, our corner of ABQ is filled with fantastic watering holes. Here are a few of our favorites.
Santa Fe Brewing Company, Tin Can Alley ABQ Taproom
Tucked away in a quirky marketplace fashioned out of old storage containers, SFBC’s Tin Can Alley location serves up architecture that’s as daring and refreshing as its diverse lineup of brews, ciders, and seltzers. Best of all, your Olympus Alameda home puts you within walking distance of Tin Can Alley. It’s just across Alameda Boulevard.
Gruet Winery & Tasting Room
Is wine more your speed? Gruet’s tasting room offers up some of New Mexico’s best wines. And it’s less than a five-minute drive from Olympus Alameda. Gruet specializes in sparkling wine. Some of their best-sellers include the Still Pinot Meunier, the A.G. Perino Dry Vermouth, and the NV Extended Tirage Rosé. Gruet’s Albuquerque tasting room about a mile away from Olympus Alameda, just off the Pan American Freeway
Boxing Bear Brewing Co. Firestone Taproom
Don’t worry. We’ll spare you all the corny bruin/brewin’ jokes we just thought up. In all seriousness, though, Boxing Bear delivers a first-rate lineup of beers – from the hoppy Uppercut IPA to the light and refreshing Body Czech Pilsner. They even dabble in wine. Best of all, this Firestone Lane taproom is just 1.4 miles away from Olympus Alameda.
Left Turn Distilling
Are you a craft cocktail connoisseur? If so, this highly rated hot spot belongs on your list of local hangouts. Its crazy deep lineup of spirits makes for some inventive concoctions. House favorites include the Brochacho, starring the Verde Green Chile Vodka and ginger beer, and the La Luz Habanero Vodka-anchored Hot Marg. Fittingly enough, Left Turn’s Girard Boulevard is two left turns and 7.1 miles away from Olympus Alameda.
