Have you been to Tin Can Alley? If not, what are you waiting for? This trendy food hall in Albuquerque boasts “nine local businesses, tons of indoor and outdoor seating, live music, and a porch with one of the best views in town – all under the roof of a building that looks like it was built by aliens,” according to its website.
Creative and convenient, the Alley certainly has our seal of approval! Here’s a pro tip: If you’re planning a visit, go hungry and be sure to try out one of these three creative eateries.
Pho Kup
Pho Kup does at least one thing right: fresh Vietnamese food. Order delivery or takeout online 7 days a week between 11 AM and 8 PM. Choose from the small 32-ounce bowl, the Minor Pho Kup; the large 64-ounce bowl, the Major Pho Kup; or several less wittily named spring roll and sandwich options.
Guava Tree Cafe
More popular than ever, Latin food is having a moment. Restaurants specializing in arepas are popping up all over the country. Guava Tree’s arepas deliver, but no matter what you choose here, you won’t be let down. Don’t sleep on their Cuban sandwiches, yucca fries, sweet plantains, and cafe con leche. Order delivery or pick up online between 8 AM and 8 PM.
On the Flip
At On the Flip, choose from menu categories like Burgers Brah, Hella Tacos, or unique macaroni and cheese flavor combos (think five cheese and green chile, buffalo chicken, and bacon street corn with basil pico de gallo). The Burqueno burger – with hatch green chile, white cheddar, red chile aioli, lettuce, and tomato – can’t be missed, and the grilled mahi mahi tacos with pineapple slaw are the perfect way to fill up while you cool down on a hot day.
