Veterans Park
Veterans Park is home to an honorable Veterans Memorial. With the background of a peaceful landscape, this place reflects on the soldiers that have lost their lives in the Civil War. Each display represents a conflict and affiliation, including the Gulf War and Coast Guard. Visit this park and take a moment out of your day to reflect on American history.
Cape Fear Botanical Garden
If you love pleasant areas with botanicals, the Cape Fear Botanical Garden is 80 acres of magnificence. Some species of flowers to see are Camellia and DayLily. The main focal points are a terrain of pine forests, river banks, and shade gardens. You can also enjoy a Butterfly Garden and a restored farmhouse with a display of farming tools.
Festival Park
If you enjoy recreation, Festival Park is a venue that showcases community. The special event area has an outdoor stage for bands to play. Peruse vendor booths of cool creations and products during the annual and seasonal festivals.
J Bayard Clark Park
Just around the corner from Heights at McArthur Park, Clark Park is a wonderful little park with many trails. Check out the Cape Fear River Trail that stretches five miles long and a Nature Center.
