The new year is here, but there are some parts of downtown Charlotte you still haven’t explored. This winter, check out these four epic museums in the city.
NASCAR Hall of Fame
Speed into 2022 with a closer look at the stories and highlights of one of America’s favorite pastimes at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. On Mondays and Fridays, you can attend a guided tour for the full experience, or check it out on your own and explore the exhibits, theater, and interactive experiences.
Discovery Place
Discovery Place offers interactive and educational experiences that are fun for any age group. Check out the labs, exhibitions, and cool experiences available at the museum online. Or just show up, and be ready for a fun time. Learn something new in 2022, because science is fun.
Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
Ready to get inspired this year? Spend a little time admiring the art displays and installations at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. One of their current exhibitions includes a nine-screen film installation from Isaac Julien, which pays homage to famed architect Lina Bo Bardi. Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture
Learn and celebrate African-American history and culture at the Gantt Center. Their current exhibitions feature contemporary Black Carolina artists, and they always plan a variety of events at the center as well. Check out their calendar to see what’s going on!
